Course Description

Gain hands-on experience with the welding processes most commonly used in modern fabrication and manufacturing. This four-day hands-on micro-credential introduces Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW/MIG), Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW), and Metal-Cored Arc Welding (MCAW).

Participants will learn equipment setup, safe operation, welding parameters, shielding gas selection, consumables selection, and troubleshooting techniques. Under instructor supervision, participants will produce fillet welds on mild steel while exploring the advantages, limitations, and workplace applications of each process.

By the end of the course, participants will have a stronger understanding of the welding processes commonly used in production, fabrication, repair, and manufacturing environments.

Ideal for: Aspiring welders, fabrication and maintenance personnel, and individuals looking to build foundational skills in semi-automatic welding processes.
